Teaching and Learning
With the Guru’s kirpa, GSA is one of the largest Indian music schools in the UK. Our classes are mixed in age and differentiated by ability, with students supporting each other to learn and progress on their musical and spiritual journey. Classes follow an academic schedule, running for 12 weeks at a time followed by a short break.
Classes are focused with clear objectives that students work towards on a termly basis. There is group and one-to-one teaching with regular formative feedback to identify students’ strengths and weaknesses.
Student Requirements
Students with minimal/no musical and/or kirtan experience are welcome at GSA. Please contact us to discuss your previous experience.

Hiring an Instrument
You may have decided exactly which instrument you wish to learn, or have yet to explore each instrument and its unique personality. We recommend hiring an instrument from GSA to see how you get along with it. We encourage students to try a variety of instruments in order to make an informed decision about which one they commit to.
Our loan system means you have the flexibility of experiencing the instrument without financially committing to one long-term. At GSA you can hire an instrument across the year. The cost includes a deposit, which is refunded after the instrument is returned, and hire fee. To discuss hiring an instrument please contact us.
Instrument fees:
Refundable deposit: £100.00
Fee per term: £40.00
